1976 – Booths Rescues Aqueduct

John Booth & Sons came to the rescue after a vessel ran into one of the main supports of the Barton Aqueduct. The damage was such that the canal route had to be temporarily shut down. Booths provided temporary works services and replaced the damaged parts with a 19-foot bespoke T-piece, which was completed in two-weeks, allowing canal operations to continue in a timely manner.
