Our Capabilities in the Nuclear Industry
- Power operated blast & security doors tailored to nuclear site grade protection, with fully integrated mechanical, electrical, control (PLC), and software systems developed in-house, whilst maintaining Configuration Management at all times.
- Extensive Finite Element Analysis (FEA), blast load modelling, fatigue simulations, and third party verification to meet nuclear design standards.
- Doors engineered for radiation and X-ray shielding using steel plate, lead or other specialist core materials, with overlap and sealing design to eliminate shine paths.
Precision Manufacturing & Testing

Fabrication fully traceable to the highest quality grades (QC Grade 1 accreditation), utilising welding methods such as Sub Arc, MAG, TIG for flawless assembly of heavy duty certified installations

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) conducted at our Bolton facilities using full-scale prototypes, mechanical run throughs, safety interlock testing and performance validation under real conditions

Temporary Works Design, including design of purpose built temporary handling systems (e.g. Custom Trolley) to manoeuvre multi-tonne doors through confined corridors where the use of cranes is not possible
