Fabricator / Welder


Overview

 

We are looking for a skilled Fabricator / Welder to support the manufacture and assembly of specialist engineered doors and components, working to high quality and safety standards across carbon steel, stainless steel and other materials.

This role involves fabrication, welding and component assembly, including installation into test rigs, working to detailed engineering drawings, inspection requirements and production targets.

 

What you’ll do

  • Fabricate, weld and assemble door sets and associated components to required standards

  • Carry out welding operations and related fabrication tasks across a range of materials

  • Assemble door hardware and complete door installation within test rigs

  • Work to detailed engineering drawings, specifications and inspection requirements

  • Contribute to quality, safety and delivery targets within a production environment

Key responsibilities

  • Fabrication and assembly of engineered doors and components in carbon steel, stainless steel and other materials

  • Perform welding, grinding, polishing, drilling and fitting operations as required

  • Produce work capable of passing UT, MPI, other NDT and visual inspection

  • Work to Inspection and Test Plans, under supervision where required

  • Operate overhead crane and FLT equipment (when trained and authorised)

  • Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements and company standards

  • Minimise quality defects and H&S incidents through safe and accurate working

  • Support continuous development of skills, including exposure to automated technologies

  • Meet agreed time, quality and delivery targets

About you

  • Formal training in fabrication / welding or a related discipline

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding requirements

  • Experience working to tight tolerances with strong attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to absorb technical information

  • Certification for overhead crane use

  • Own transport required

  • Willingness to undertake security background checks if required
