Doors
40 Years carefully monitored feedback from customers and operators using Booth ‘offshore’ doors on numerous platforms world-wide, has provided a functional design base for this extremely successful Booth product and ‘industry standard’.
The high integrity design and construction provide users with an extended life with minimal maintenance. Door leaf skins are typically 2mm thick to give superior resistance to accidental damage, this also permits offshore modifications such as the fixing of ‘break glass boxes’ – signs etc., without costly modifications or detracting from the doors performance.
A key element of the Booth heavy duty door range is the purpose designed and constructed range of door furniture which is probably the most robust of its type and as a minimum is fabricated in stainless steel.
Where less onerous operating conditions apply the Booth ‘Offshore’ door range includes doors to satisfy medium duty applications.~
Blast and fire can be adequately satisfied.
Fire ratings ranging through: A0, A60, H0, H60, H120 and Jet Fire Ratings.
A wide range of seal options to minimise gas leakage / water ingress (leakage test reports are available.)
Materials of Construction
- Carbon Steel (typically painted to prime and tie coat stage, for Purchaser to ‘finish’ paint at site following installation.)
- Stainless Steel grade 316 (polished)
Offshore Firewalls / Blast Walls / Division Walls
All designs are optimised for specified loadings and spans to give the optimum cost / weight solution over competing systems and conventional construction whilst maintaining simplicity of site installation.
Configurations
- Vertically spanning profiled cladding (deck to deck)
- Vertically spanning profiled blast walls (deck to deck)
- Vertically spanning flush faced internal walls
- Profiled wind walls (vertical or horizontal spanning)
- Blast relief walls (vertical or horizontal spanning)
Fire Ratings
A0 to H120 Certified by Lloyds also jet fire ratings
Spans
Constrained only by access / lifting limitations at site. Preferred option is to span deck to deck (typically up to 11m) without the need for any secondary support steelwork.
Blast Loads
Blast Loads of up to 4 Bar + may be incorporated using either elasto plastic or fully elastic design. Full scale blast tests have been performed to verify our design methodology. Detailed design calculations are submitted for client approval.
Heat Shielding Systems
Configurations
- Non perforated heat shield systems. (Available complete with insulation for high reduction capability.)
- Perforated heat shield systems, providing through-flow ventilation and visibility.
- Double skin perforated heat shield systems for ultimate heat flux reduction.
- Full range of installation / fixing details for efficient and economic installation.
- Fully tested and documented.
- Maintenance free,
